This Privacy Policy explains how AI Translator: Voice & Camera ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application. All developers must declare how they collect and handle user data and provide a link to their privacy policy.
1. Information We Collect and Process
Our app is designed with user privacy as a fundamental priority. We collect only the minimum data required to deliver real-time translation features:
- Audio and Voice Data: When you use the Voice Translator feature, your microphone records speech to transcribe and translate your words. This voice data undergoes ephemeral processing; it is stored only in memory and retained no longer than necessary to service your request in real-time. It is never stored permanently or used to build advertising profiles.
- Camera and Image Data: When you use the Live Camera Translator, camera frames and gallery images are accessed and processed entirely on your device using on-device optical character recognition (OCR) without transmission off the device. Images are never uploaded to remote servers.
- Text Inputs and Translations: The text you input is transmitted securely via encrypted connections to translation engine endpoints. These endpoints act as service providers that process data on our behalf based on our instructions, which does not constitute data sharing under Google Play policies. Translation history is stored locally on your device.
- In-App Purchases Information: If you purchase AI Translator Pro, financial information such as purchase history is handled securely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your credit card or billing credentials.
2. Permissions Used by the App
- RECORD_AUDIO: Required for capturing speech in the Voice Translation mode.
- CAMERA: Required for scanning physical text and documents in Live Camera mode.
- INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to query neural translation models over secure connections.
- BILLING: Required for processing Google Play in-app purchases and subscriptions.
3. Data Security and Encryption
All network communications between the app and our service providers are encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (HTTPS/TLS). Local translation logs and user preferences are stored securely on your device.
4. Data Retention and User Control
Google Play requires developers to provide a way for users to request data deletion. You have full control over your data, and you can permanently delete all your stored translation history at any time with a single tap in the app's History screen.
5. Children's Privacy
Our App is not targeted toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
We use third-party service providers that process data on our behalf. The app relies on standard platform services provided by Google LLC:
- Google Play In-App Billing (for subscriptions and purchases)
- Google Play In-App Review and Update Services
- Google ML Kit (for on-device text recognition)
